The continent of Africa is nothing short of complex. A short trip to the east coast brought about a range of emotions, understanding and a deeper perspective of self.
Taking inspiration from the Senegalese film director, actor, orator, composer and poet, Djibril Diop Mambety. this display is a homage to Mambéty, who reminds us of what happens when lions get to tell their stories.
A journey that opened doors to a hidden history along the east coast.
Thank you to Salma Hussein Suleiman,
an intellectual and multi-lingual historian (fluent in German as well) whose lessons sparked the concept.
